Richard Ehler Fine Art

Richard Ehler is a contemporary oil painter located in central North Carolina with a passion for capturing landscape scenes.

 

Richard grew up in Manchester, Vermont. Inspired by local artists, he started his painting career at the young age of thirteen, when he became a member of the Putney Painters. There he spent several years learning under his mentor, the late, Richard Schmid. 

 

Richard earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with honors in oil painting, from Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in Lyme, Connecticut. He won five distinguished art awards including the John Stobart Fellows Award.

He currently resides in North Carolina and is a member of the Fine Arts League of Cary.
